February 10, 2011, Mineola, NY Angela Anton and the Anton Media Group, publisher of The Boulevard Magazine, announced today the temporary suspension of the Magazines print production. The company wanted to take some time to concentrate on digital media in its core business, community newspapers, and needs to utilize the staff of The Boulevard to do this. The temporary hiatus will only last about three to six months depending on the progress made on other projects. Once the production resumes, The Magazine may even have a new look. Editor in Chief Jason Feinberg commented by saying "This is actually a very exciting. For years The Boulevard has been a separate division of the publishing company. Because we have a bi monthly schedule vs a weekly schedule for the newspapers, it allowed the magazine to jump ahead with digital media over a year ago. In fact, we were the first magazine on Long Island, that we know of, that had an iPhone app. The Newspapers are the core business and its extremely important to, not just keep up with, but stay ahead with new technology. We are all eager to help out during this time but more eager to be back on The Boulevard. During the Hiatus The Boulevard Magazine website (www.theboulevardmagazine.com) will continue to be published as well as the iphone app and will continue to accept content for both the print and online versions.
